A scarce illustrated book with fourteen copper-plate engravings including some fold-out diagrams to describe the workings of the locomotive engine. Consisting of examples of engines of the broad and narrow gauge, the link motion, etc. including the History of the Locomotive Engine, Details of the Locomotive Engine and otherplans. Condition. No boards, endpapers are present but not attached and show chipping and wear along perimeter. Internally, generally firmly bound. No tears or missing pages, overall VG. bk033 (see scan).
