    Description

    I made this same Drop Spindle for myself as my learning to spin spindle and although I have a wheel now I still enjoy the simple pleasure of pulling my out my drop spindle and spinning with it.
    This spindle is approximately 10 1/2" in length, has a 2 1/2" diameter and 3/4" thick whorl; it weighs approximately 1.8 oz. and I put a notch in the side of the whorl to hold the yarn (you will understand as you learn to spin).
    I added a lead and just a pinch of fiber (fiber may differ in each order according to availability) just to help the beginner get the idea of how it works.
    There are plenty of YouTube videos on learning to spin; it's how I learned.
