Made in Palestine silver filigree vintage pin brooch round flower design

Description

This is a round floral or snowflake-like design in tiny wiry filaments coiled very tightly to create a filigree wire effect. Signed "Made in Palestine" on the back, with another word above that which I cannot read. It looks like letters from another alphabet or language, not letters from the Roman alphabet, and possibly a number "1." It is not stamped with anything that indicates sterling silver, but I have tested it, and it tests correctly to be sterling silver. The diameter is 1 1/16" across and weighs 3.7 grams. The pin stem has a slight bend right at the tip from being opened and closed, because with the way it is constructed, it has to rub the back of the pin while being fastened or unfastened. The pin stem is a little stiff in its movement from age, but it works properly. It is wound around the attachment one and a half times and then the other end sticks up slightly when it is unfastened, as can be seen in photo 10. The clasp is just a hook, not a rotating lock clasp, so this is very old style. This brooch is like a miniature piece of art; the workmanship is so fine and detailed. It has beautiful tarnish with a fine patina. This is an older pin from an estate. Used but good pre-owned condition.
