IN CRISP UNCIRCULATED CONDITION!!
The French Revolution followed closely on the heels of ours. Our Constitution went into effect the same year the Bastille was stormed - 1789.
However, an American Revolution era bank note in the same condition as these notes would run no less than 0 per note, when you can buy these for a piece!!
Dated 1793, each note is in the denomination of 50 Sols with Liberty holding the Rights of Man and Justice holding scales and fasces (a bundle of rods symbolizing the nation state - many coming together as one). Both have raised embossed seals and a large circular fancy "RF" (Republique Francaise) watermarks at the center.
One (Series 2710) is printed on off-white paper while the other (Series 3308) is printed on light brown paper.
Very scarce pair in the offered condition - choice crisp uncirculated! Lowest price for this quality!
