VINTAGE ANTIQUE SHARPENING STONE WHETSTONE BENZINGER HONE MADE IN GERMANY EXC!

Description

I was told that sharpening stones or hones like this were used wet to sharpen scythes when harvesting grain in pioneer times.  This is one of 8 I bought together that were still wrapped in very old tissue type paper and look never used.  It measures 9 1/4" long and is pointed at both ends. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
